"One bottle, one tree, one life"
evo3’s story actually begins on the island of Lesvos during World War II, where Ioannis Kamatsos, farmer and father of five, and Stratis’ grandfather, bore the winters and fought off starvation to produce olive oil, his most precious commodity.
Evo 3 is now coming from the Premium Greek Olive Oil Company based in the UK. His grandson Stratis’s started his own journey to involve the Olive Oil always by keeping the traditional family methods.
It's the concept of giving and loving beyond the making of traditional Greek olive oil and olive products. It's a lifestyle. It's a choice. Made on the Greek island of Lesvos, evo3 comes from a small caring family production utilising organic and sustainable farming.
Evo3 is an award-winning, exceptional quality organic extra virgin olive oil. The olives are carefully hand-picked from a single estate, always respecting the local ecosystem. The olive oil is produced only from the native types of olives found on the island of Lesvos, the Kolovi, Adramatini, and Latholia. The Kolovi and Adramatiani olives mature slowly and are black in color. They thrive in soil with slate in it. Their flavour has an intricate, fruity taste, and their olive oil colour is golden yellow to a golden green. The Lathoelia thrives in lower altitudes and is bigger in size. These olives are grown in two different microclimates on the island of Lesvos, mountainous and coastal.
evo3 is different from the rest of the brands in the market, not only because of their high quality and innovative product, but also because of the environmental and social cause behind it. The heart of evo3 is its concept. For every product sold, a tree will be planted in a deforested area in Africa - specifically in Ethiopia and Madagascar.
The aim is for everyone to share the passion and love for the olive tree, olives and olive oil. evo3 is focused on more than just producing innovative Greek foods and planting trees. They want to help change lives. Not only does reforestation revitalize dry arid soil and provide a substantial oxygen supply, but it directly benefits locals living in the area through permanent and seasonal employment.
Evo3 have partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects, a not-for-profit organization, to ensure that evo3 truly has an expansive footprint. They have also partnered with the Women's Cooperative of Parakila on Lesvos, to support the empowerment of women in this local village.
