GOOD TASTE: You’ll notice Panela’s vivid, earthen gold first. Then, the sweet-burnt aroma. Panela is a handmade tradition that’s endured in Colombia for centuries. It’s delicious: fine with full-bodied flair and ready to enrich all your favourites like your regular brown sugar, only naturally.
GOOD PROCESS: We keep it simple. Low-intensive. Low-intervention. The result celebrates origin. Quimbaya Panelero farmers harvest the sugar cane then juice it using a trapiche. Its crystallised form is panela. No bleaching. No goodness-stripping factories. Panela is a way of life.
