Description

Myanmar pickled tea leaves, widely known as Lahpet, are a rare edible tea delicacy found uniquely in Myanmar. Muyar’s tea leaves are grown in the highlands of Shan State, where climate and tradition create their distinctive character. Naturally fermented using time-honoured methods, the leaves are then carefully finished in the UK, where we add a refined balance of oils, spices, and seasonings to enhance their depth and complexity. Traditionally enjoyed with crispy mixed beans and nuts, Lahpet is best served as a salad or gently cooked with your choice of meat to create a richly flavoured curry.
