Kromanti is – above all else – a bridge.
It’s a way for fellow family members of the Caribbean diaspora to connect with their past, connect with each other, and ultimately, feel more grounded in themselves. It’s a bridge which allows others to learn about the history and stories of the Caribbean which the community carry with them every day.

The company is run by father-daughter duo Cashain and Danielle. They are passionate about storytelling, and have found that the story of rum is steeped in ancestral memory. Kromanti started with infusing a spiced rum with an organic tamarind extract. Most recently, they launched a plantain infused golden rum. These flavours represent so much about the diaspora, how food items made their way from all over the world through trade to become Caribbean staples.

Our rum is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, guided by stories and resulting in a complex flavor profile that showcases notes of tropical fruits, spices, and a hint of family history in each sip.
