We are Sam & Pan are the duo behind Belle & Herbs Farm, best of pals, who bonded over a love of food and cooking. Belle & Herbs began life as a multi-award winning restaurant in 2003. Winning 3 consecutive annual Observer Food Awards amongst other plaudits.

Sam received a BBC Food & Farming Award in 2019 in "BBC Cook of the Year" category.

Pan is an expert in Asian cookery, speaking several Asian languages, she hails from Myanmar, and her family have operated fermenting businesses for generations. She has worked in a multitude of professional kitchens as a chef, including 8 years with Cafe 21 Group, regarded by many as being the most rigourous and professional kitchens in the North of England

We are based at a community farm on the urban fringe of Wallsend. We are close to being a zero waste business. We compost all of our kitchen waste. We operate an ethical social employment policy targeting people disadvantaged in the labour market.
