To craft our drinks, we source our apple wine from a sustainable, family-run farm located in the heart of Kent.
At the farm, they employ state-of-the-art technology in the form of a dual belt apple press, capable of pressing an astounding 7,000kg of apples per hour. This innovative machinery extracts an impressive 80% of the juice from the fruit, ensuring a rich and flavourful base for our spritz. As a testament to our commitment to sustainability, the remaining pulp finds purpose either as feed for local livestock or as fuel for an anaerobic digester. This closed-loop production process ensures zero waste to landfill.
Our winemakers also harness the power of the sun. By installing solar panels, they generate one-third of their peak electricity requirements, further reducing GROWN's carbon footprint.
