A beautiful French restaurant, well known among the locals, Bistro Aix is a chef-owned restaurant that has been serving up quality French cuisine since it was established in 2002. French-trained, American born chef, Lynne Sanders has consistently maintained the high standards that Bistro Aix has come to be known for.

Like her mentor, Alain Ducasse, Lynne believes in a pure style of cooking with an emphasis on quality ingredients, minimal handling and the pure expression of individual flavours.

A restaurant is not only about the food, and although this is number one, we also pay close attention to all the details from the crisp table cloths, romantic music, original artwork and crystal candle holders.. to our staff who are trained to be completely customer focused, “friendly, knowledgeable and unobtrusive” as our reviews say.

Our lovely dining room features original paintings and murals by Russian artist Genya Gritchin that provide a charming and ever-interesting backdrop.

A perfect setting for any private party, our private dining room is an intimate space with new and exciting murals recently commissioned by Genia Gritchin. French doors open onto a delightful trompe-l’oeil garden mural. We specialize in small to medium-sized private events in an intimate space that seats up to 28 guests.. for birthday parties, family gatherings such as bar mitzvahs and christenings, Christmas parties, etc. See sample menus.

Our menu is generous, slightly rustic, wholesome and always fresh .. and the sauces – the highlight of the world’s best home-style cuisine – are done here to perfection.

The wine list is mostly French, mostly biodynamic.

The dessert menu is irresistible with French classics such as crème brûlée, profiteroles and tarte Tatin, our own ice creams and sorbets and famous flambéed baked Alaska.
