Description

Historically, the location where a whisky was produced heavily impacted its flavour profile. All distilleries used natural resources that were close by and did not have the luxury of bringing large amounts of raw materials on-site. Many distilleries aim to maintain the flavours for which their region is renowned. However, these days there are more and more distilleries opting to break their regional mould; we celebrate this risk-taking and drive for innovation.

Our Unorthodox Regions set celebrates the regional rulebreakers; exploring those drams which do not conform to the typical flavour profile of their region. It contains fantastic expressions from all corners of the country, making for a rounded and unique whisky tasting experience.

Unorthodox Regions Whisky Line-Up:

Deanston Virgin Oak (46.3%)
Bunnahabhain 12 (46.3%)
Benromach 10 (43%)
Longrow Peated (46%)
Ailsa Bay 1.2, Sweet Smoke (48.9%)

"Absolutely fantastic product. I bought the unorthodox set and every one was delicious. Matching each whisky with an information card is a great idea. This really adds to the drinking experience and it actually made it feel quite special."
