Description

Our Blue Tea is a blend of superfine Organic Loose Leaf Assam Green Tea with Butterfly Pea flowers and Indian spices.

Grown organically in Upper Assam, Blue tea is doubly rich in antioxidants due to the blend of green tea and butterfly pea flowers. It aids in lowering stress, has anti-aging properties, and is good for your hair, skin and nails!

The Butterfly pea flowers are grown by small-scale farmers in a town near Guwahati, Assam in India.

Local women pan fry the tea leaves and produce this tea using traditional methods with sustainability being the key word here.

If you would like to do your bit for the environment, don't forget to compost the tea leaves after use, supporting a circular economy!

On my goodness, your tea really is VERY blue!! What amazing colour from such a natural product. Really interesting taste, earthy liquorice/aniseed notes. Quite distinct! If you are liquorice fan, you'll love it. Interestingly, my husband had a sniff of the dry leaves and thought they smelt of Sambucca which is also liquorice/star anise based. Colour blows my mind.
