Condiment obsessed Chef Dan Shearman fell in love with the sweet heat of spicy honey in 2014 when trying a bottle of Hot Honey, brought back from New York. After an unsuccessful search for a UK version to add to his London food truck menu, he decided to make his own.
Using local organic honey from small independent beekeepers, blended with a mix of British grown chillies, his hot honey soon became a huge hit with his regulars. After a year of selling pots from the hatch of his truck, the love for his condiment grew, and ‘WilderBee Hot Honey’ was born.
The sweet heat combination has the UK buzzing - and is now used on the menu for some of the best pizzerias, fried chicken eateries and fine dining restaurants.
